Furby Familiar is a group research project (+ Joelle A., Jason Z., and Rory M), remixing the old and current Hasbro toy Furby for something we predict could happen to the brand in 2040. Separating our tasks led me to designing the video ad with the help of Jason's assets for the Furby illustrations.

Context
A big change in our version of the Furby is the introduction of a small 8-bit LED display, nicknamed “the portal”, featuring a heart growing or shrinking with each Furby to Furby interaction. This advertisement is meant to advertise the Portal and show it in action, through both the Furbys and the friends.
This is based on a storyline of a reunion between two frieds and their Furbys. Theres an emphasis on connection through the two girls and their Furbys matching/completing each other and the Portal function in action. Its cartoony, simple, and fun to relate to our targeted users: children, and time accurate to our designing styles of today that would be considered nostalgic to the first targeted audience of Furbys by 2040.
